Puzzle Description:

Five, six, pick up sticks.

This is me trying to hold onto chopsticks. I couldn't get the tips together in the puzzle OR in real life. Lacking the required fine motor control, I opt for a fork. Or maybe my fingers, if no one is looking. :-)

No MSG allowed in our house! It gives my daughter a migraine (and possible seizure), it makes me really grumpy, and it turns John in to a wild and crazy guy (but not funny like Steve Martin, more like a drunk teenager).

Here's a nice healthy recipe for stir fry with tofu, garlic, scallions and other veggies. Even if you're not a vegetarian, you might like this:

Thanks!

Terrific puzzle! I'm really impressed with the picture - it's tough to draw hands.

FWIW, I can't eat MSG, either - I also get migraines. The really annoying part is how manufacturers hide MSG under different names like "autolyzed yeast extract" and "hydrolyzed soy protein".

This is such a fun series! Thanks!

I don't eat chinese food at all, don't ask why.
#7: Teresa K (fasstar) on Apr 29, 2009
Thanks, Meg and Doreen.

Okay, Jota, I won't ask why. But I am intensely curious to find out anyway! LOL

Teresa, you can't ask "why...?" but that gives you free reign to ask, "how come...?" (wink wink)

Interestingly, Chinese food is one of the few take out foods around here that I can trust *won't* have MSG. I've been caught by both Lebanese food and Greek food. And at least one of the "secret ingredients" in Kentucky Fried Chicken is MSG.

It's just that I don't want to gross you out.
#11: Teresa K (fasstar) on Apr 30, 2009
Aha! Okay, then, please DO NOT tell us why. LOL
#12: Adam Nielson (monkeyboy) on Apr 30, 2009
Ok, ok, ok, Jota, so how much diarrhea and vomiting did you have? What colors? What kind of smell? (That way you don't have to gross people out; leave that to me!) LOL
#13: Jota (jota) on Apr 30, 2009
Yeck!!! none of that.
#14: Cynthia Roach (jcfreak8) on Apr 30, 2009 [SPOILER]
Hmm...I wonder if that is why my migraines have mysteriously ebbed away. I've started cutting msg from my diet. That is tough when companies try to hide it like rebelcat said. "and other spices" often means msg. MSG was proven to be bad a long time ago (that is why it isn't in baby food) so why do they continue to put it in other foods? And why hasn't the FDA done anything about this?

BTW, awesome puzzle!

It has not been medically proven to be harmful !

Really great. I didn't realize what it was until I was done and then it was, "WOW".

I love it! I love using chopsticks, and have eaten some weird things with them, such as ice cream and jello, just to see if I could. Practice makes perfect, Teresa, and some people say they actually help prevent Alzheimer's disease, partially because it takes more thinking and fine motor control to use them than a fork (or your hands).

excellent all the way around. perfect puzzle for people learning how to solve pbn's. i love the way the hand comes out of the corner and then the sticks dominate the left half - giving this puzzle a visually pleasing balance. you are something else!
