The Seven Metals of Alchemy and their Planetary Symbols. Isaac Newton devoted considerably more of his writing to the study of Alchemy than he did to either optics or physics.

Yep, this one was sitting in my unpublished list for a long time.

Very interesting. I'm taking Physics right now, so it's surprising to hear that he accomplished so much in an area that wasn't even his main focus. I actually never made the men are from Mars and women are from Venus, with their planets matching their symbols here.

Yes, looking at Newton's unpublished writings, it is clear that Newton was the greatest alchemist that ever lived. See Westfall, Never at Rest, Cambridge University Press, 1981.
