I think she surprised even herself!

She was fantastic, but I am amazed at the disrespect that each person gave her. I would have thought that she has become famous for her voice and her courage, rather than because she dresses and looks different from the average star. I am not shocked that she can sing, I am shocked at the fact that others didn't believe she could.
By the way, great puzzle, it can bring up lots of discussion.

Thanks, Ellen.

In my work i have to help professionals get over their preconceived notions about parenting, behavior, disabilities, and their false assumptions about people, especially those with neurological disabilities. Part of this is just basic human nature, and part of it is ignorance due to lack of awareness. We all have room to grow when it comes to awareness about ourselves and others and the world we live in together.

I figured this puzzle would have something to do with Simon Cowell, but I didn't know what or how until the end. Nice puzzle. As I was working on her head early on, it reminded me of the Statue of Liberty with the "spikes." :-)

I know there are lots of puzzles of the Statue of Liberty, and they all look the same. I also know that there are none of Susan, as she just became an overnight sensation. I like to create puzzles that are unique and original.

Yes you do. I doubt anyone has done or will do any of the puzzles you have created. I like that about you.

I've always loved that song, ever since I first saw Les Miserables in London in the early 90's. Now I love it even more. Thank you Teresa, not only for the puzzle but also for the link. It really made my day.

I am blown away with how fast you were able to come up with this wonderful puzzle. I can't figure out was the lump is at the left side of the face. Please explain a little more.
#10: Adam Nielson (monkeyboy) on Apr 20, 2009 [SPOILER]
I didn't see a lump/bump on the left side of her face, but if you were referring the the black round thing on the RIGHT side of her face (the left side of the srceen) that is the microphone that she is holding and singing in to.

Lovely puzzle! I'm really hoping her story brings awareness to the issue of people with learning/neurological disabilities, especially as I have a child of my own who struggles with an atypical NVLD. Miss Boyle seems like a very sweet lady, and I hate to think that she was never given a chance simply because she might have had a hard time with her social or academic skills. I'm also hoping she gets good advice and guidance, now that she's in the media spotlight.

Thanks, BlackCat. The black part is the microphone, like Adam said. The white part at the bottom of her face is her cheek, with a shadow where her chin starts.

Her face is a little flat, and her eyes are small, and her social behavior is a little unusual, perhaps inappropriate at times. Lots of symptoms of Fetal Alcohol disorders, of which the rate is very high in Scotland.

Thanks for your comment, Meg. I also hope she gets good guidance to help her cope with her newfound fame. Her talent is not unusual for someone with a Fetal Alcohol disorders, many individuals have talents in music or art, and most are smart in some areas, but may be immature and/or inappropriate. I wish her luck and success. And I hope we all can learn a lesson about making assumptions and judging people.

I had a really hard time seeing it at first, then it just popped out. I'm still not 100% sure I see it right, but it's very good. :)

excellent. i'm glad you did this puzzle about her. i believe she's challenged a long-held theory in the music industry - how you look equates to how you sound. maybe she (and folks like her) will put "music" back in the music industry.
