I guessed too, but somehow got lucky on the first try. He's a cute penguin, though! I like the aurora - nice idea.

Here is what I came up with:

If you look at columns 15 and 16, there are two 2 clues remaining. If you would try to place both 2 clues in rows 5 and 6, this would cause row 5 to be invalid. So one or both of the 2 clues MUST be in rows 8 and 9. Knowing this we can put dots in R8C11, R9C12, R9C13, R9C18, R9C19, R8C20.

Next look at column 10. The 1 clue has to go in either R5C10 or R6C10. No matter which way this gets filled in, R5C11 has to be a dot. The same logic can be applied on the other side to make R5C20 a dot.

You will now be able to fill in a lot more dots/blacks. Now you can use smile logic for rows 5 and 8. Then you can finish the puzzle.
