Puzzle Description:
A Penguin relaxing under a green sky-light. xD I was too lazy to make it any more detailed...

I guessed on the eyes and the beak.#2: Tonia Bergh (tonia) on Apr 15, 2009
I guessed too, but somehow got lucky on the first try. He's a cute penguin, though! I like the aurora - nice idea.#3: Eric Francis (airdrik) on Apr 16, 2009 [HINT] [SPOILER]
I think the eyes and beak can be "solvable without guessing" via some extended smile logic -- where is the only place the lower segments can go such that the upper segments will fit?#4: Jane Doe (telly) on Apr 19, 2009
It's the only logical solution, and it is one that can easily be determined by those who don't want to guess-and-check the possibilities which seem like obvious impossibilities. (besides the fact that the face is symmetrical which assumption makes solving it trivial).
cute.#5: Gator (Gator) on Aug 26, 2009 [HINT]
Here is what I came up with:#6: Web Paint-By-Number Robot (webpbn) on Aug 26, 2009
If you look at columns 15 and 16, there are two 2 clues remaining. If you would try to place both 2 clues in rows 5 and 6, this would cause row 5 to be invalid. So one or both of the 2 clues MUST be in rows 8 and 9. Knowing this we can put dots in R8C11, R9C12, R9C13, R9C18, R9C19, R8C20.
Next look at column 10. The 1 clue has to go in either R5C10 or R6C10. No matter which way this gets filled in, R5C11 has to be a dot. The same logic can be applied on the other side to make R5C20 a dot.
You will now be able to fill in a lot more dots/blacks. Now you can use smile logic for rows 5 and 8. Then you can finish the puzzle.
Cool logic right at the end.
Found to be logically solvable by Gator.#7: Teresa K (fasstar) on Jan 14, 2010
Very enjoyable. Fun logic and a cute image.#8: GabrielMyCat (gabrielmycat) on Oct 20, 2010
very fun and adorable!
