Escheresque lizards

I have a puzzle (called the Schmuzzle Puzzle) with all the pieces being this shape. One side of the puzzle has the lizards, the other side has gold coins. I didn't know that they were called Escheresque lizards. Thanks for the puzzle and the info.

I have done jigsaw puzzles online that have a choice of shapes for the pieces that are exactly like these. (It's called "Jigzone".) They nestle together so nicely- it was fun to see them here. Thank you.

They reminded me of jigzone lizards too. Very different kind of puzzle. Thought it was a kitten at first.
