American Idol Wannabe: Singer holding her microphone, singing her heart out in front of the judges. Today she is just a nameless, forgetable auditioner. Tomorrow, maybe a star.

That is exactly what I thought, sanane. It really does look like an ape. Now I can see the microphone, but what is she holding down low?

She is holding the mic in one hand and the cord in the other. You can see how the cord from the mic is partially out of the picture on the right side. Poor girl looks like an ape, huh? Well, if you have seen the early audition shows, some of them seem a little, um, shall we say "not quite human." This puzzle might have been better with a larger grid, but since I solve my puzzles before publishing, and since I cannot work on tall puzzles, I had to limit the height. Here is the image I used as a model:

I do not think that she looks like an ape. I see her clearly and appreciate the image (although I do not watch American Idol). Thanks for the puzzle

She looked like an ape until I saw that she had her head tipped back. (That's bad form, of course, when you're singing, as it constricts your larynx. Unless you want a raspy voice, like Rod Stewart)

I like the idea but the image is weak. I was expecting gonzilla.
