If I remember correctly, Myxlplik was a little magical being from another dimension. Superman is rather powerless against magic, and the only way for this rodent of a being to go back to his own place is for Superman to trick him into saying his name backwards. Another of Superman's nemesises is a character by the name of Bizarro, a dim-witted, white-skinned, angular-featured perversion of the hero himself.#3: Teresa K (fasstar) on Mar 29, 2009

Joe, your descriptions are correct, but as a big comic fan, I would be remiss if I didn't correct the spelling of the imp's name. It's Mxyzptlk, pronounced Mix-yez-pit-a-lik, according to some official DC comic source I saw some time ago.
