Thanks, Silvain. I lived in Wisconsin for 5 years and I remember how brutal winter is there. The first winter, at the beginning of March, when everyone was tired of winter, I would say "only three weeks until Spring" and everyone would laugh at me. Three weeks later, when the calendar said it was Spring, it was still winter in Wisconsin. Hang in there. By the time Spring arrives for you cold-country folks, here in Arizona we will be suffering in our 100 degree F summer heat.#6: Shae (shaekin) on Mar 6, 2009
Lol, We're thinking about going camping this weekend in DC and there's still some snow on the ground. Which is weird to me since I'm from Utah and there's snow from November until late April. :)#7: Beth (Shasta) on Mar 6, 2009
You are right, it does look like an orange...now. I am amazed at how much detail you can get it such a small puzzle. I actually tried to do a WC this week-it was a cartoon and I still couldn't get it work!!!! Thanks-keep up the awesome work!#8: Teresa K (fasstar) on Mar 6, 2009
Thanks, Beth.#9: Jane Doe (telly) on Mar 6, 2009
Shae, what part of Utah are you from? I too grew up there and currently reside there. Good luck with camping. :)#10: Shae (shaekin) on Mar 9, 2009
Telly, I'm from Logan area. I actually just moved in January. Where abouts do you reside?#11: Jane Doe (telly) on Mar 10, 2009
Provo area.#12: Beth (Shasta) on Mar 11, 2009
We are driving from Wisconsin to Oregon this summer and planning on spending a few days in Utah. Any suggestions on must sees?#13: Shae (shaekin) on Mar 13, 2009
What parts are you driving through? I'm guessing mainly the north portion if you're on your way to Wisconsin?#14: Beth (Shasta) on Mar 13, 2009
Yes the northern part. We saw the Badlands-(really cool)and Yellowstone and Tetons (awesome) last year so we are looking to take a couple days break in a new area.#15: Shae (shaekin) on Mar 13, 2009
I'm actually from the north. Logan Canyon is beautiful in any season and it's about a half hour to drive through to bear lake (or to Logan if you're coming through the other side). If you like rock climbing there are some really fun parts up the canyon for any level. If you're looking for tourist stuff, there's Temple Square in Salt Lake that it just beautiful as well as the new Tabernacle the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints built. It's huge and really fun to tour. What type of stuff do you like to do?#16: Jane Doe (telly) on Mar 13, 2009
Beth, If you like hiking and caves, Timpanogos Cave is also great...It's just an hour south of I-80...if that's the road you're taking. Most of the breathtaking (touristy) outdoors places are south...Zion, Bryce, Arches, etc. but there's still much to see in the north. If you're taking I-70 then a stop in Arches, Canyonlands, and Moab is a definite must!!!#17: Beth (Shasta) on Mar 16, 2009
Thanks guys great ideas! We will be taking 80 and it looks like Logan is on the way to where we are heading. We like a variety of stuff. My daughter likes culture and art, my son loves any history, we all love hiking. Given the time limitations we would probably not due any rock climbing-the kids have never done any climbing outside! The cave hater will not be with us so we could get more adventuresome with caves-although I find them fascinating my favorite part is getting out! It looks like next year-southern Utah to the grand canyon......#18: Jane Doe (telly) on Mar 18, 2009
hope you have lots of fun!#19: Shae (shaekin) on Mar 19, 2009
Also, for the art fans in your group there are several good museums of art in Salt Lake City and I personally like the BYU museum...it has a Carl Heinrich Bloch, John Singer Sargent, etc. as part of their permanent collection and usually has a great 'traveling' collection as well.
I don't know what Logan has to offer but I've heard it's beautiful.
There's Utah State University in Logan so they have their own building with art on display mostly all year. They also have the opera come summer which is really popular at the Ellen Eccles Theater. You could see what's playing while you'll be there. I could recommend my favorite restaraunts since I lived there pretty much my whole life. :)#20: Beth (Shasta) on Mar 19, 2009
Thanks both of you! I doubt we would do opera but restaurants recommendations-of the casual type, would be great! It is always hard when traveling to know where to go without doing the ones that you can do at home (and every city everywhere). It looks like we would do a couple days in Salt Lake and a couple in the Logan area.#21: Shae (shaekin) on Mar 20, 2009
For Logan area you really should go to Firehouse Pizzeria. There are two, one in the south end of Logan and one in Smithfield which is about 6 miles North of Logan. They have delicious oven baked pastas and really good pizza. If you want to do an expensive night, you could try Hamilton's which has really good atmosphere and the best steaks in the Valley. If you make it before 6:00 they have a special for 2 people for $25 which includes tons of food. Cafe Sabor is probably the best Mexican restaurant and if you have a particular type of food you want I could let you know our favorite for that cuisine. :) Sorry I'm so wordy, I just miss it there I guess. :)#22: Beth (Shasta) on Mar 21, 2009
Pizza definitely, Mexican usually works. My husband will love it, my kids will be fine. I often have trouble with Mexican-I don't like hot/spicy foods but the Margarhitas make up for the food! For the last year we are finally able to go to places that don't have french fries! (or a good kids menu)#23: Jota (jota) on Mar 21, 2009
Definitely a cherry that once you know it's an orange ... still looks like a cherry buy only because it's red and not orange, in which case it will look like an orange.#24: Shae (shaekin) on Mar 23, 2009
Lol, I do like french fries! If the kids do want something like that there's a restaurant called Angie's that's American. It's where a lot of the "locals" gather because it's has early and late hours. It's not bad though.#25: Diana W (aeris) on Apr 20, 2010 [SPOILER]

Thanks, Linda. I enjoy reading your comments. (I enjoy solving your puzzles too - hint hint) :-)#28: Jennifer McMahon (kalamalama) on Apr 24, 2012
I grew up in Tucson. We had an orange tree, a lemon tree, and a grapefruit tree. One of the 5 "C's" in Arizona is citrus. I live in Hawai`i now. There's no snow, but I miss the citrus.#29: Teresa K (fasstar) on Apr 25, 2012
Jennifer, I also love the smell of the Desert Willows here. But you have lots of lovely fragrances there in Hawaii. BTW, what does your nickname mean?#30: Julio Parra (Julio Parra) on Jun 7, 2020
Me encanta este puzzle y las naranjas. Todos los dÃas me tomo el zumo de dos naranjas. España es el primer exportador del mundo de naranjas.#31: Teresa K (fasstar) on Jun 8, 2020
Mmmmmm, delisioso. ¿Tienes naranjos en tu jardÃn?#32: Julio Parra (Julio Parra) on Jun 11, 2020
No, tengo peral y almendro. Y encinas y cedros muy grandes.#33: Teresa K (fasstar) on Jun 11, 2020
Ah. Las flores de almendro me recuerdan a Van Gogh.#34: Claudia (clau_bolson) on Jul 25, 2022
