Here is a fun skit from early TV where he sings "Love Makes the World Go Round" with a football team doing back up.

Looks really good from a distance. I would have thought this would be very hard with the lack of lines but it wasn't. Thanks!

Thanks, Shae. Your brain can recognize what's not there by filling in the blanks from your memory. There is a rudimentary explanation of what happens in the brain while solving puzzles in the comments for puzzle #4969:

Thanks, Beth and Petra and Adam. I have deleted so many portrait puzzles because I could not make them solvable. I kept working on this one, because he was such a cool guy.

And thanks for the links, Adam. I like Coles Phillips' style.

Amen to #8 Teresa. That's why you haven't seen any from me in a while. i'm tired of deleting them after putting in so much work! If I can't recognize who it is (without a doubt)when I finish it then out it goes! When you add in the solvability factor, well... This is why there aren't many portrait puzzle makers.

Good puzzle by the way. I almost forgot to say it after all the rambling I just did!

Thanks, Steve and TJ. The problem I have with some portrait puzzles is that they are too big for my screen. I have to enlarge them in order to see the numbers. I know I'm not the only one with this problem (laptop monitors + vision impairments). So an additional challenge I face is trying to get a good image in a reasonably sized grid. I limit my puzzles to 45 high.

I limit mine to 50, but I hardly ever do bigger/higher ones than 40 on my laptop. Luckily, I have a few other screens too lol.

...my hat is off to you, Teresa.

Lol...I wish we were neighbors. It is seldom I find a kindred spirit who shares an intrinsic appreciation of these puzzles...and you do it with artistic integrity and panache!

I would bet we share other world views. Lol

excellent editing! i love seeing the face without all of the extraneous details. what a joy to solve, too.

Very nice, Teresa. Love the minimalism. Still very recognizable and fun to solve.
