Puzzle Description:

Looking out through my kitchen window, you can see the Santa Catalina mountains in the distance, with some clouds rolling in on the right. Sit in the swing and listen to the sparrows twitter. If you are very still, a mocking bird may come close. Here is one sitting on the outside window sill.

On the inside you can see my soft soap and vitamins and white lace curtains. To the right, outside of the image, I have an indoor-outdoor thermometer. The high today was 91 F (33 C). I think we broke a record, as it is only supposed to be around 70 F (21 C).

Beautiful puzzle, Teresa! And it was pretty easy to do one handed as there are lots of single clicks. (Though not an east puzzle.) Fifteen days til my cast comes off! Then I will do your big ones.
#3: Shae (shaekin) on Feb 24, 2009
That's a very nice image! Thank you!
#4: Teresa K (fasstar) on Feb 24, 2009 [SPOILER]
Thanks, Wendy and Shae.

I really wanted to do an image that centered on the swing. I tried it from the other direction, and it looked awful. So I did it from the back, and it worked.

That swing could tell lots of stories! I sat with my babies in that swing. I had heart-to-heart talks with my sister. I sat there alone after I got divorced. I fell in love again sitting there. I helped my grown kids with their problems sitting in that swing. Sometimes I just go out there and sit for no other reason than to enjoy the conversations of the birds and watch the clouds float over the mountains or watch the sunset.

Thanks for your entry! I've been skiing so sorry for the delay!
#6: Adam Nielson (monkeyboy) on Feb 25, 2009
Teresa, thank you. Nice image again.

Thanks, Adam. Another original.

Jota, I think skiing is a great reason to be AWOL. Welcome back.

Pretty busy with all the detail, but, also very recognizable. I knew, as soon as you said, "kitchen window," that there was your hand soap, and curtains. Thanks
#9: Beth (Shasta) on Feb 26, 2009
Amazing detail. Challenging but fun. You have a much better view than I do! Thanks.
#10: Petra Lassen (Stjarna) on Feb 28, 2009
Fantastic puzzle!

I am SO jealous of your weather. It hardly ever gets that warm here, and I love hot weather.
#11: Teresa K (fasstar) on Feb 28, 2009
Thanks, Joe and Beth and Petra.

When I had finished the curtain area I thought, "Teresa has a carousel in her backyard?!" Then I also thought it might be a gazebo where you bring your "Friends in my backyard."

Nicely rendered image and a bugger but fun to solve. (I only had to clear and restart twice!) Thanks for the peep into your life.

What a wonderful puzzle. My mom has a porch swing hanging inside in her big kitchen. Four generations have swung on that swing.
#16: Norma Dee (norm0908) on Jun 17, 2016
Beautiful image. I really envy you your swing.
#17: BlackCat (BlackCat) on Jun 17, 2016
Pretty image but a bit tedious to solve.
#18: Aurelian Ginkgo (AurelianGinkgo) on Jan 9, 2018
I love all the detail in the scene. Great view!
#19: Teresa K (fasstar) on Jan 15, 2018
Thank you, Aurelian.
#20: Kristen Vognild (kristen) on Jan 19, 2019
Lovely puzzle, and lovely memories (mostly)
#21: Teresa K (fasstar) on Jan 24, 2019
Thanks, Kristen. I still have the swing and a lovely view of the mountains, but a few nasty crows have invaded the neighborhood and bullied the mockingbirds into finding a new part of town to hang out. I hope they come back sometime.
#22: Velma Warren (Shiro) on May 19, 2019
Beautiful image and lovely story. Very doable puzzle.
#23: Teresa K (fasstar) on May 19, 2019
Thanks much, Velma. (✬‿✬)
#24: Koreen (mom24plus) on Aug 30, 2020 [SPOILER]
You can see everything clearly. Just needed the description of the mountains, mention of the swing and bird, and the rest falls into place. Love it!
#25: Teresa K (fasstar) on Aug 31, 2020
Thanks, Koreen!
