Terrific puzzle. I liked it very much. Very good treatment of a difficult subject.

I did a puzzle long ago of the same subject (#36). This one is much better looking. I copped out and used color, but in my defense, I was working with a much smaller grid.

I think there has been another one on the same theme too, but I can't remember enough about it to find it.

I tried using color and the solver seemed to have a more difficult time. I guess a computer brain works differently than a human brain. It doesn't make the intuitive leaps in visual patterns coupled with logic. It just crunches away 400,000 logical steps in just a matter a minutes.

The solver is rather stupid about colors. If it was able to mark a square as being "red or white, but not black" instead of just "red," "black," "white," or "unknown", then it would work better.

Good puzzle. I expected it to be 22% of a picture, but it turned out to be a whole one.

I finally ran across the second puzzle on the same theme (#270). I worked over 150 puzzles on this site before designing any of my own. Oh well. It's interesting seeing how different people treat the same subject.

I don't think it's a problem at all. The three puzzles are as different as they can be.

Is there more than one solution to this?
I have finished it, but do not get the "Yahoo you solved the puzzle"

There is only one solution. Most likely there is one black cell not yet filled in on your puzzle. It's easy to overlook one in a large complex image.

Yep, you were right there was one spot that I left out.

Thanks

a very interesting puzzle. Not so much difficult, it took about one and a half hour to solve.

Quite a fun solve.

Cool factoid. The description makes it a unique puzzle too. My favorite Dr. Seuss book is The Sneetches. I like the message against prejudice.
