They exist, but they look nothing like the image in this puzzle. The Red Panda in real life has pointy ears, black nose and black eyes and a dark stripe on the face, dark belly, dark legs, white feet, and a long bushy tail.#5: Petra Lassen (stjarna) on Feb 19, 2009 [SPOILER]
One reason they have become endangered is that the pelt is prized by newlywed couples in Yunnan, a province in China, where it is a custom to make hats from the fur as a symbol for a happy marriage.
I agree with Adam, it looks like a red Panda holding up a white towel. Although for some reason the way she's holding her arms first made me think of a straight-jacket.
