I only have use of one arm and extreme neuropathic pain and to hear someone say they'd kill themselves just for a few vanity pounds shows you how in touch with life some people are. The thing people take for granted!#4: Dave Tallman (RockSunner) on Aug 5, 2006
Great puzzle by the way!!!
It's a great puzzle and a powerful image.#5: Jan Wolter (jan) on Aug 6, 2006 [SPOILER]

Great, as usual. Conceptis had this subject in one of their books. Couldn't solve theirs without cheating (as is often the case with their puzzles), so liked yours much much better.#11: Bobbie Hall (koalaobo) on Aug 24, 2006
Well, it only took me three weeks to solve my own puzzle. Seems I don't have large chunks of time to do these--have to work them bits at a time.#12: Mark Conger (aruba) on Aug 30, 2006 [SPOILER]

Just found this one - terrific puzzle! However, I think I've enjoyed reading the comments almost as much as I enjoyed doing the puzzle. I hadn't thought about Mary Pickford in a long time - I didn't think anyone else found her as fascinating as I did. (20th c history geek - I like old movies better than most modern ones!)#14: Jan Wolter (jan) on May 23, 2007
In re-reading these comments I noticed something I missed the first time around. Someone mentioned Marilyn Monroe being every soldiers pin-up and dream girl during WWII. No she wasn't! The architypical WWII pinup girl was Betty Grable. Norma Jeane Mortenson didn't even take the name Marilyn Monroe until after the war was over. But I guess that's what happens when you are a famous archetype. You subsume other people who represent the same archetype.#15: Rachel R (rachel) on Jul 21, 2007 [SPOILER]

This reminds me of a Naneki -type puzzle. Large, B/W, and outstanding quality. So Bobbie, where are you now? I haven't seen anything new from you recently.#19: Jota (jota) on Jan 28, 2009 [SPOILER]
