Puzzle Description:

tired dogs.

The "dog" on the left looks like he has to be anchored to the ground by that red "leash," because apparently he is full of helium and would otherwise float away (he is off the ground, after all). :-)

I personally don't like a lot of empty space as it is time consuming and doesn't serve a purpose. I do like the dogs though.

The right-hand dog's leash comes down to one of those diagonal line things, which I still haven't convinced myself count as being logically solvable.

I agree that there is an excess of very boring white space here. People looking for an easy way to fill all that in should be aware of several tricks: (1) typing the "h" key in a line with no clues will automatically fill it with white, and (2) you don't actually have to dot all the white squares. If you fill in all the non-white squares and click "Save" it will fill them in for you.

Another technique that is handy with this puzzle is moving he clues to the bottom of the screen with the down arrow key.

Oops, on second thought, this is logically solvable. Once you have everything except the rectangle in columns 35-40, rows 29-30 filled in, you can use edge logic on the red three in column 35 to partially place it. Then the rest solves.

Getting to that point requires lots of color logic.

Thanks for those hints with the filling in the white Jan! Much appreciated!
