???????????????

This tricky to solve. I thought I was stuck early on, but something in the 5th column helped me move on. Cool puzzle.

Probably the best puzzle so far by this author. Tricky.

Ditto 2

It's fun when such a small puzzle is so challenging!
#6: Jane Doe (telly) on Jan 10, 2009
ditto all but #1 ;)

I sat and stared at a mostly blank screen for a long time and then all of a sudden things started popping into place. A little bit of a stumble as I neared the end. Nice puzzle and a real sense of accomplishment when its done.

I didn't find any logical opening (not that I looked so hard for it), so I tried a different approach: guessing how a palm tree would look like, and then adjusting it to match the numbers. I've never tried that kind of tactic before, but it went pretty well.

I think the people above talking about this being solvable were talking about the previous version. I don't think the current one is.

I sounds like I would have liked to have solved the original version. This is very disappointing.

What's the threshold on these puzzles for "lots of guessing?"

R6-R10 C11-15 is mostly open but placing the 2 in C15 gives 1 possibility each for r11-12 and 14-15, and 12 each (?) for r12-13 and r13-14.

That said if we consider the picture is continuous, C13R6 is probably a black dot, we get smile logic in C14-15 and then there are 4 possibilities for the remaining dots, but only 1 with a continuous drawing.
