I struggled long and hard trying to figure out what his hands are doing, before making this comment. Is he clasping his hands? Is he holding a cell phone or something else? Please let me know.

Just his left arm/hand is visible. He's holding a soft drink with a straw in it.

That makes sense, too. Is that why he is growing in the middle?

He should switch to diet soda! Love the sandals and white socks.

He is sort of hunched over and chubby from being a couch potato. I used my ex-husband as a model. Just kidding.
