Puzzle Description:

A postage stamp. This is a one cent stamp issued in 2008 by the US Postal Service depicting a Tiffany Lamp. The value of an original Tiffany Lamp is over $8 million.

Interesting concept. The image inside kept looking like a car until the very end.

I saw a crown which wasn't going well with "USA".

I'm astonished that the US Post Office still issues 1 cent stamps. Even rate increases are bigger than that these days.

I thought that was strange too, but I learned that there was a one cent increase in First Class postage last year. I usually buy the "Forever" non-denominated stamps so I don't have to worry about the frequent price increases. When I saw this Tiffany Lamp stamp, I wanted to buy some, as that's the closest I'll get to owning anything this classy.

Great puzzle - I guessed that it was a stamp from the clue ... and yes, 1 cent stamps are still used. I buy them for postage when large envelopes require extra postage.

Does anyone know who owns (and/or displays) a Tiffany lamp? Now that the merged Waterford/Wedgewood Company has declared bankrupcy, I suspect their glassware and dishes will become more valuable as collector items too.

Thanks for the website reference for the image of the stamp.

I don't know anyone who does. Such beauty!

very nice, satisfying solve.

Really nice puzzle. I saw USA and the shape of something flying, was thinking a military plane with a camo paint job. The number 1 didn't make any "cents" to me till I read your description. Thanks for a challenging (could I even say "enlightening?") but not "over my head" solve. 😁

Thanks, Susan.

This was a fun solve and neat image.

I don't have a huge interest in stamps, but so many of them have neat stories behind them (e.g. 8 million lamp on a one penny stamp) that it's neat to look back and say, yeah, I remember that one. Or be a bit sad I missed them!

It's 2021 and the puzzle was made in 2009 so I think it aged very well as a sort of time capsule.
