Simple and elegant.

I solved it on my iPad, which doesn't allow clicking and dragging, so I touched each white square before I touched each black square.

I don't know why people depict the moon this way. That is no phase of the moon that I've ever seen.

This happened around 1977 - it was the moon's Death Star phase.
