It's nice to see some hard puzzles now and then but that was a doozy!

If you look at it at a distance, it looks like some sinister man with a large noze, pointy chin and dark inset eyes

No guessing required. There was always 1 step that kept me going. I wish I hadn't found it each time, because the end result was very disappointing. Fun as far as challenging goes, but definitely a WOT.

Totally logically solvable, and quite fun to solve, but it's a disappointment not to find a picture in the end. But if the solving is fun, then I wouldn't call it a waste of time.

Frankly, I amazed that anyone here has the nerve to call anything a "waste of time." Glass houses folks. Certainly you didn't come to this web site hoping to do something productive?

I agree that "waste of time" comments are very silly, and agree that if the solving is fun it's an OK puzzle.

This one was quite challenging, I've had to sit and let it "percolate" a few times.

Good puzzle. As the author says, he call it art.

"Waste of time" comments are rather ironic because they are a waste of time, in and of themselves.
Someone felt that they wasted time solving a puzzle, so they go and waste some more time writing a post proclaiming to the world that they wasted their time solving a challenging puzzle.

Not all puzzles here are here because they make nice artwork. In fact, I've used a couple of different PBN puzzle generators, and none of them is really challanging compared to the puzzles you get here.

Tom, this is a picture of Arthur "Art" Deer after meeting up rather suddenly with a British SUV. (That's the British-style license tag flying off upper left.)

Don't know if that counts as a "reward", tho.

I wouldn't call this a WOT, because it was a fun and challenging solve. It ends up with a bit of a rorschach design (I see a giraffe or something standing in front of a waterhole), and yes, a more definite image would be better, but it was still fun.

Unfun.

I didn't mind it. Thought it was fun and challenging.

TIL that WOT means Waste of Time - I previously thought it was Wall of Text - but I now understand why there is confusion between the two. I consider this puzzle neither.

For my part, when I take the Rorschach test and look at this picture, I see a giant rat that just spray painted some random letters and numbers as graffiti on a wall.
