Puzzle Description:

my 3 yr old neice thinks this doggie is just perfect as she drew it and the colors are just right and its name is nina

Cute doggie and he is perfect. :)
I caught a show on tv one night where a groomer dyed a dog's white hair a blue color.

Thank your niece for making such a fun puzzle!!!

I found a way that this was actually solvable by logic alone. If anyone is interested, let me know and I'll explain (I assume you solved for the body of the dog).

Maybe an art career in the future? Very bright and fun- thanks you!

Looks like this "dog" was living near Chernobyl several years ago. :-)

The 'leash' is logic solvable using some edge logic and some 'diagonal' logic (there's one clue per line in each row and column, therefore the colored cells form a rough diagonal stretching from one corner to the other).
I'm not sure if this is the same as jako's logic, but it works.

Eric, that's the essence of it, yes. :)

Amber would you compete in this week's WC ? (Forum #112)

Had to solve this one after reading the comments in the forums. I like the challenge to this one and that there's an image resulting at the end rather than a pattern. While it reflects the artistic abilities of a 3 year old, it's a very rewarding puzzle and I can find no way that anyone should be critical of it. Thanks for sharing it.

Found to be logically solvable by jan.

A fun puzzle to solve, and a great image.

There ain't no diagonal logic, least not until someone proves that the only solution to such a pattern of clues is always a "diagonal" line, which I don't think they will do, because I don't think it is.

However, you can use edge logic, if you compare the top and left edge clues to the clues TWO rows in. This gives you enough dots to be able to place a few black cells and then the rest solves easily.
