I am so sorry.#4: Jane Doe (telly) on Nov 20, 2008
I thought it, (the title and image) is like tuna special in cafeteria lunches...something you just never want to try.#5: Adam Nielson (monkeyboy) on Nov 20, 2008

Wrong age group?#10: Adam Nielson (monkeyboy) on Nov 21, 2008
I think the children on this site like "colors" but they don't understand artistic skill and beauty.#11: Jota (Jota) on Nov 21, 2008
Some don't as well as some adults ... wish there was a code for those puzzles so I could stay AWAY.#12: Adam Nielson (monkeyboy) on Nov 21, 2008
Thanks for understanding y apoyándome en lo que pienso también.#13: Jota (Jota) on Nov 21, 2008
100% Monkeyboy, I likee the way you place your accents, very neat.#14: Adam Nielson (monkeyboy) on Nov 21, 2008
??? They go where they are supposed to go. LOL#15: Jota (Jota) on Nov 21, 2008
Exactly where they are supposed to go.#16: Adam Nielson (monkeyboy) on Nov 21, 2008
Yes, I am fluent in Spanish and I majored in it in college. I am a "master" of Spanish phonetics and grammar. LOL#17: Jota (Jota) on Nov 21, 2008
WOW! Increíble! Felicitaciones.#18: Adam Nielson (monkeyboy) on Nov 21, 2008
Muchas gracias, mi amiga.#19: Shae (shaekin) on Nov 25, 2008
I'm going to have to say that was a complete and utter waste of time. Sorry.#20: Holly Evans (hollybob7) on Feb 19, 2009
I enjoy puzzles like this. They are completely solvable with logic, and you can't rely on recognizing the image to help you guess. Most of the time when I know what I'm supposed to be making, it becomes less of a puzzle and more mindlessly filling in pixels.#21: ikke (ikke) on Mar 23, 2009
I totally agree. It's fun solving because you can only use logic.#22: Web Paint-By-Number Robot (webpbn) on Sep 30, 2009
Found to be logically solvable by jan.#23: Jan Wolter (jan) on Sep 30, 2009 [HINT]

I see this puzzle has more comments than many. :) I think it shows a different kind of talent--not the picture kind, but the kind where you make people think. And that is why I come here--to exercise my mind. I only do puzzles about this size and I found it very difficult. I admit I cheated. Looked at the solution, erased all the areas I had wrong (not just the pixel but the whole area) and started again from there. I did, in the end, solve it with logic and maybe a guess or two that worked out.#27: larrry grizzard (gizzard) on Sep 8, 2011
When a "picture" is undefinable, especially when there is no description or explanation by the author, it indicates a laziness by the author, or a disregard for the solver on the part of the author. A random but unique pattern is a waste of time. The permutations are astronomically high on a 5 color, 400 pixel puzzle. Even the people who seem to like this aren't sure of what it is supposed to be (comment #2 -- "or something"). Seeing a picture is the reward for solving, not seeing an "image" and thinking "Oh, so that is the unidentifiable group of colored squares the author worked so hard to get just right". Part of the fun is recognizing an image with just a few pixels (oh, how wonderful the human mind is at recognizing patterns with a minimal amount of clues!!), which is why personally I prefer small puzzles that can convey an idea or a scene, rather than larger, more "life-like" ones. The mind gets exercised with an image or without. Most guesses are not true random guesses, there is some logic or intuitive venture at work. If I just wanted to work the brain, I'd calculate pi in my head -- meaningless exercise with no real reward, as some have suggested that this type of puzzle gives.#28: Edith Clark (eclark) on Sep 9, 2011
Interesting thought.#29: Jane Doe (telly) on Jan 20, 2012
ditto Edith. ;D gizzard#30: Julio Parra (Julio Parra) on Oct 13, 2012
Un puzzle difícil, que hay que hacer con mucho cuidado, pero que se resuelve con lógica.#31: Jota (jota) on Oct 13, 2012
Lástima que no represente nada.
De acuerdo Julio!#32: BlackCat (BlackCat) on Jun 18, 2013
Very frustrating to work so hard to finish nothing.#33: derby (Derby) on Oct 15, 2018
Controversial puzzle. I am with the group that enjoyed it because it was challenging and logically solveable. I wonder if Gabriel ever came back to do another puzzle after these comments. I don’t think I would stay on the site if if I was solving puzzles only for the quality of the image. It’s more important to me to have a challenging solve. Thanks Gabriel.#34: Byrdie (byrdie) on Oct 16, 2018 [SPOILER]

I like all kinds of puzzles. I am one of the solvers that is a stickler for using logic, never guessing or filling in pixels because the "image" dictates it. I'll admit I super love a great image at the end of my logic work...but on the other hand, solving a "random pixel" puzzle correctly, using only pure logic, gives me a real sense of satisfaction too.#36: Jill Tallmer (Yidl) on Oct 18, 2018
I'm happy to finish--even though from early on it obviously wasn't going to turn into an image, I couldn't leave it alone, or it couldn't leave me alone. When there's no image, it can hard to know that I'm using logic properly. I could use wrong thinking but accidentally get it right.#37: Pam Tucker (grammypam) on Aug 9, 2022
Nice puzzle. I don't know what it's supposed to be since I don't want to see the titles, but it is very colorful and was challenging!
