Cool idea for a puzzle. Would have been even neater if the shape was a bit more jigsawy and maybe there was a piece of a picture on it.

Who is to say that the picture on the puzzle isn't of a bunch of large balloons or something, and this is a piece of the center of a red balloon? And the piece just really happens to be this shape?

Neat idea, thanks.

You could do a series of these that a person could solve, print out, and then cut the pieces out and put them together in a real jigsaw puzzle.

I started out thinking it would be a Canadian maple leaf.

I was also thinking Canadian Maple Leaf, probably because of the colors. But -- wouldn't this make an interesting jigsaw puzzle "Look for a piece with the Vees cut into two sides, and the knobby thingee, and uh . . ."
