On the subject of cleaning floors, we call our non-Swiffer a Swiffer and our non-Roomba a Roomba. My Shop-vac is a Shop-vac but I'd call it a Shop-vac even if it wasn't :P#6: David Bouldin (dbouldin) on Apr 1, 2026
And I can't wait for the eponymous puzzle for Heroin!#7: Valerie Mates (valerie) on Apr 1, 2026 [SPOILER]

Valerie, it was an "as an aside" comment based on the fact that Heroin is also a brand name :P#11: Valerie Mates (valerie) on Apr 3, 2026 [SPOILER]

Well I guess it is actually a product name rather than the manufacturer/brand name. It was a trademark product name sold by Bayer. They marketed it as a cough suppressant and morphine substitute. So it's less like a brand name (ie, Xerox) and more like Styrofoam (an eponymous product name by Dow).#13: Valerie Mates (valerie) on Apr 3, 2026
Just wow. Who knew?
