Well I guess it is actually a product name rather than the manufacturer/brand name. It was a trademark product name sold by Bayer. They marketed it as a cough suppressant and morphine substitute. So it's less like a brand name (ie, Xerox) and more like Styrofoam (an eponymous product name by Dow).#13: Valerie Mates (valerie) on Apr 3, 2026
