One bad wipeout and I never rode them again.

Funny but true story - a friend wanted a pair, so we went to Dick's (popular big-box sporting goods store in America), and they weren't where they used to be. Looked all over, couldn't find them. I finally asked an employee where they were, and he said they didn't carry them anymore, as they were too dangerous.

I retorted "But you sell shotguns!"
