In 1950 I was 19 and I can remember that only the rich had blinkers. The same with a/c when it came out. We put them on our wish list and waited. Eventually along with radios, windshield washers,etc. they became standard.#15: Joanne Firla (JoFirla) on Nov 23, 2025
In the 50's we were just starting our family so it was a while before we had TV. I remember gathering all the TV tubes and heading for the nearest convenience store to test the tubes and hoping they had ours in stock.
