Still, this isn't social media, it's a puzzle. Please keep WPBN an apolitical haven! Too much stress.#4: Lori (Francesca N Furter) on Mar 2, 2025
THANK YOU!!#5: Meira Bracha (mbracha) on Mar 2, 2025 [SPOILER]
Nice sentiment. And I didn't find it stressful at all. LOL

I agree with Meira. The problems we face today should be discussed everywhere. It's an emergency. We must speak out wherever we can. We must find a way to oust or block the people in our government who are threatening our democracy and aligning with Putin.#8: Emimonster (emimonster) on Mar 3, 2025 [SPOILER]

Heather, Belita, Lori, Meira, Susan, and Emimonster: Me too. I am so very worried to watch our government being dismantled.#10: Yonah Kondor (yokon965) on Mar 3, 2025 [SPOILER]
Lenore: The goal is for WebPBN to be mostly non-political, but it is fine to create the occasional political puzzle as long as it is labeled in the title so that people who want to avoid politics are able to skip it.

As a Canadian, I'm feeling quite betrayed. Pretty sure Ukrainians are even more so.#12: Kitty Eyes (kittyeyes) on Mar 4, 2025
Here is my advice: Community is more important now than ever, and we should all find our "tribes"; invest in your close relationships; vote in any and all elections, even local ones; and maybe stay away from Reddit.#13: Bill Eisenmann (Bullet) on Mar 4, 2025
ROFL Yonah!#14: Momo (beebsnew) on Mar 4, 2025

When someone switches back into real estate developer mode, as a 'solution' to the crisis in Gaza, you're almost certainly correct, Kristen.#17: Steven K Grant (ffgrant) on Mar 8, 2025
It's been less than 2 months. Give it a chance. Look at the positives. And the USA should not protect the whole world for FREE !!#18: Heather M (AuntieH) on Mar 13, 2025

I was hoping someone else would chime in, but no such luck… So here goes…
As I said in my initial post “Those who do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it.”…. Read the history of Nazi Germany, and Mussolini’s Italy… then tell me “Give it time” and “Look at the positives.” Oh, and maybe you should also look at the global response to 9/11 vis-a-vis NATO Article 5…. But then again, those fact counteract the MAGA narrative… so I’m not holding my breath…
All I’ll say is that as a proud Canadian we will NEVER become the 51st State…. #ElbowsUp!!!!
PS. I sincerely hope you never are faced with reliving the experience of Martin Niemöller: "First they came for...."
Haha! I had to look up #ElbowsUp, and I'm glad I did. I love it! #ElbowsUp#20: Belita (belita) on Mar 16, 2025
Our president is a complete lunatic, but please don't think most Americans are. I don't know how that nut-case managed to win the election, but I'm sure a lot of people - especially government workers who are being fired - would happily change their votes now.#21: BRASH ATAOM (BRASHatAOM) on Mar 20, 2025
If Canada were to become the 51st state, where would decent Americans seek asylum?
