If the "average" solver can reach a logical contradiction in their head without marking a pixel than I don't think of it as guessing. I think it should be considered moderate to deep lookahead. How many steps ahead is the cutoff between moderate and deep?#9: Valerie Mates (valerie) on Mar 22, 2025
My understanding is that there is no specific number of steps. It's more of a general consensus.
