Thanks - I was already in a good mood just from the title. I agree with Kristen in #13. That is when it popped for me too, at the very end. Happy Groundhog Day, on a beautiful sunny day. We don't really understand the theory up here. If he doesn't see his shadow - short winter. If he sees his shadow, only six more weeks of winter which is as good as it gets in Northern Ontario.

Donald, I'm in Louisiana, with the opposite problem. I wish we'd GET some proper winter! We had a few nights that *approached* freezing, but that's about it.

Hi Kristen, nice to hear from you. I went out on the lake in front of our house today, to talk with the ice fishermen who had driven out there. They said the ice was two-feet thick, and so should be pretty safe. Nice sunset over the bay now, with mostly blue sky and a few clouds. It is up to over 20 F now, from about 0 F this morning, and with bright sunshine and no wind it is perfect for winter. But I already have my garden seeds, and will be working in the garden in two months. Spring can be VERY short here, as by the time it is warm enough to melt all that ice and snow, it is instant summer.

Glad to know you were in a good mood Donald! I'am in Florida at the moment and it is unseasonably cold, which I love.
