I don't know if anyone remembers Rupert Holmes. He's the one that gave us the Pina Colado song. Now he's an accomplished writer. I checked it out out of curiosity. It was full of fun plot twists.

Belita, you've made me curious enough to find his own site and to look him up on wiki, which has additional personal details. Award-winning songwriter and author (Tony, Edgar, People's Choice among others), and also playwright, musician, writer of both book and music of Broadway musicals, on and on. He's been at it since his teens in the mid-1960s and is still going strong. Astonishingly creative in so many areas of the arts, and well-known to many, but not to me until your puzzle. Thank you.

A few years after the Pina Colada song I read that he had won a Tony award and his comment was, "At least my worst fear won't be realized. I won't go to the grave as the Pina Colado man."
