This is a great puzzle! It was challenging, but not impossible, and I am amazed at the details that can be created by a bunch of black squares!

Hallo Jan! Wie geht's? I notice by your name & the title of 1 of your puzzles - could u possibly be German? If so, I'd LOVE 2 chat with u - I could use the practice! Enjoyed solving this puzzle! Thx 4 your creative!

Well, yes and no. Mostly no. My parents grew up in Germany. Shortly after they married, my father was offered a research post at the University of Michigan for one year. That one year turned out to be something like the "three hour tour" in Gilligan's Island. Because they kind of meant to go back to Germany, they gave their American-born kids German names and kept speaking German at home. Eventually they did return to Germany, but after two weeks they decided they liked nothing about at, returned to America, applied for citizenship, and lived happily ever after. So, although my first language was German, and I took speech lessons in elementary school to eradicate my German accent (I spent years practicing "th" sounds), I've since mostly lost my German. Never learned to read or write it, can speak it only haltingly, but understand it fluently.
