First of all, Kristen, how delightful that you're painting your self-portrait! The contacts are *definitely* worth it. Why December 7? A competition deadline? An exhibit?

And secondly, these last 10 days since our last new puzzle have seemed like forever, so thank you for starting us up again.

I'm in the Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA), and my local group is hosting an Arts & Sciences Faire. This will be my entry, inspired by 15th-century painting methods and available pigments.

Kristen, I admire your resolve to finish in time for the Faire.

You could put them back in solution and reuse them, I used to do that! But like Lollipop said you are worth it!

At least your procrastination is task-adjacent; that's only, like, half-procrastinating. :)

What a wonderful project. Could you just take a picture of your face without your glasses on then paint your eyes from the picture?

Nah, I'm practicing painting from life, because cameras hadn't been invented yet, in the 1400s. :)

And Bill, you're thinking of drought, but I'll assume autocorrect was to blame. :)
