Fun. As a prisoner of war in Japan during WWII my ex picked up a lot of Japanese and named her Take A Rest in Japanese because she was such an active kitty.

Sadly Jan passed away before he was able to make some planned changes. One was more colors and another was being able to halve the squares so that you could add more details to your puzzles.

I like the reclining!

I'm not sure that Jan was going to add more colors, but it's on my To Do list for someday, though it's in the back of the line behind other changes.

I hadn't heard about the halving squares idea until now. That change would need some thought. If you happen to remember where Jan wrote about it, I would like to read what he said.

It's been a long time. Perhaps I just remember him responding to requests from solvers.

I remember solving somewhere some puzzles where the squares were halved and they were difficult but fun. It was probably either Games or Conseptis. I'll see if I can find anything.

I think I found something. I scrolled through the News to see if Jan mentioned anything there. In item No. 98 in the third paragraph, 1st line he mentions "tribblers". That seemed to ring a bell but I found only one book on the internet with a small picture on the front and I couldn't tell from that. Perhaps you can find more information.

found a sample. Actually the squares weren't halved. It's a bit different.

ooh, those look fun.
Not a trivial code update, though, I'm sure 8D
