This reminds me of the time LOOOOOONG ago when I graduated college in Salt Lake City and had to drive back to the east coast. While shopping for a cheap pickup truck or van, my buddy sold me a 1975 Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham, an enormous barge into which I stuffed everything I owned, including tons of books, clothes, several pairs of skis, and a drum set. An hour east on I-80, I got a flat tire. It took me fifteen minutes to empty out the trunk to get the spare, 5 minutes to change it, and about a half hour to try to stuff everything back in. I think I ended up abandoning a pile of stuff I couldn't fit.#3: Jota (jota) on Aug 29, 2024

Bill, I can easily imagine loading up your Caddy. I lucked in to a very well maintained Caddy of about the same vintage. It was also popular for moving stuff thanks to its roominess.#8: Norma Dee (norm0908) on Aug 29, 2024
Yes, I got lots of requests to borrow it. Some were very considerate, some not so much. I had a co-worker who borrowed it and spread old sheets in the bed so it wouldn't get scratched.#9: Joanne Firla (JoFirla) on Aug 29, 2024
