Anyone else ever have a vehicle that you had to cover the check engine light with tape because it was on for no reason, and it was too bright when driving at night? In my case it was something with the light itself. And why can't it give more detail so we know whether it's a case of "slow down and bail before it explodes" or "get to a mechanic in the next week or so"?#5: Bill Eisenmann (Bullet) on Apr 15, 2024
Spot, generally warning lights are yellow, red, or blinking. If it's yellow, it is alerting you to a problem that you should address, but the car is still safely driveable. A red light means it's serious and should be addressed as soon as possible, such as low oil. Blinking red means pull over and shut it down immediately (before it does it for you!)#6: Bill Eisenmann (Bullet) on Apr 15, 2024 [SPOILER]
