The word for "Love", in Russian. The pronunciation in English could be something like "Lyubov".

I think you mean CCCP. I don't know what the first "S" stands for but the rest is Soviet Socialist Republic so I am guessing that the first "S" Soyuz means union.

No, I don't speak russian. And yes the Cyrillic SSSR (which looks like CCCP) stands for Soyuz Sovetskikh Sotsialisticheskikh Respublik. Soyuz means union, soviet/sovet means council. By the way, all Soviet players were not from Russia. Some players were from Latvia, Belarus, Kazakhstan and other parts of the union.

As I was solving I though, "Is this Cyrillic?"
Hey, I was right!

I forget who, perhaps some comedy troupe, pronounced CCCP as "Three-C P." I like to pronounce it SSSR. :)
