Puzzle Description:

Just a spontaneous design

It looks kind of like my DNA puzzle, but aside from that...
the title says it all.

great puzzle - not too hard but completely solvable without any guessing - don't know why the title has "may require some guessing" I hate when people rate the puzzle as a guessing one just because they cannot solve it.

LOL @ #2. :-) Right on!

I'm sorry if I seem to have copied from you monkeyboy. I didn't know I had. Came up with it just playing around. Didn't think about DNA at the time but I guess it does bare some resemblance.

It's ok. It is very different. It just reminded me of that puzzle. No harm done.

It reminded me of monkeyboy's dna puzzle too, but they are different and so it's totally ok. :)

I really enjoyed doing this. I was tempted to look at the answer just to get me started but instead chose to slog on until I got it. Thanks.

"Slog on." Ingenious, LOL. Never heard that phrase before. :-)

DNA on acid. And enjoying it. hehe

Made me think of the double helix too. Had this one in my saved for awhile and picked away at it now and then. Mostly color solving - figuring out where to locate the "2" clues helped go a long way toward the finish.

Tricky but fun and I don't mind the visual image either.

I think I used lookahead for this, but from the comments above, it looks like line logic/color logic may be enough?

This is really hard, though! I got pretty far with color logic but had to try a lot of things. I eventually picked off the plus signs and, say, a (green 1/black 1) near each edge.

Not sure if this is lookahead or just really difficult color logic. Here's how I solved it:

Lots of CL a tiny bit at a time got me to 76%.

Then in C8 only R15 or 16 is blue.
The left blue clues in R15 and 16 are 2s.
If C9R18 is red then C9R15-16 are not blue, a contradiction.
So C9R18 is not red, so R18C10-11 is red.

More CL to finish.
