Puzzle Description:

National Odometer Day! (My favorite odometer number is about to register....!)

#1: Yonah Kondor (yokon965) on May 5, 2023 [SPOILER]

This is the kind of thing that will probably be recognized .5 miles prior, while driving, with a mental note of "OMGosh, I need to take a picture of this when it happens!" Only to inevitably remember to take the camera out when the Odo reads 123457.

My very first car was about to turn all the way over to zeroes and I was excited to see it, and then my nice Dad went to fill it with gas for me, and when he got back it had already turned over.

One time my dad was driving my car and for some reason, I wanted him to reset my trip odometer. He glanced at it, but then didn't do anything for several more miles....he has noticed that imy regular odometer was about to turn over to a number and ng in three zeros, so he reset the trip odometer to also be all zeros, so from then on, both odometers would zero across at the same time. From then on, I set my trip odometer the same way, cuz it's more fun to watch all those tumblers turn together! (Yes, I'm into big thrills!) I even vowed I would never have a car with electronic odometers, 1. because it's not nearly as pleasing to see the numbers blink to the zeros, but more importantly, 2. it was impossible to get the tenth of a mile spot on so that they did all change simultaneously....even if the mechanical odometers we're off a little, the moving tumblers gave the appearance of simultaneity! But alas, I do have a car with electronic odometers, and I've gone back to using them to gauge my fuel mileage, and sometime trips, but my life is not nearly as exciting....

Brash, I do the same thing! I have 2 trip odometers, and one has never been reset... just so it is ALWAYS the same as the odometer.
