At one time my daughter had a small horse named Lima. She boarded at some friends of hers and for a while she was spending time with her dad or grandmother and it was up to me to feed Lima. I was having to work late a lot so I would arrive after dark and noone would see me. I kept the hay in my trunk to keep it from disappearing. One night I walked in and there was a big horse in her stall. Using some of Lima's feed I coaxed the big horse back into his own stall. I called the horse Big Red since I would find him in Lima's stall every night as he had mastered the gate closing. We became friends and he would start to whinny as soon as he heard me coming. I would feed him a bit and give him a treat and get him to go back into his own stall. One weekend I went to see Lima during the day and as I was pushing Big Red towards his own stall the back door of the owner's house flew open and a couple guys came running out waving their arms and yelling something about staying away from a horse because it was mean. My head swiveled around looking for a horse on the loose and it dawned on me that they were talking about Big Red and I'm thinking Oh, now you tell me. I was able to show them that we were friends and they just shook their heads.

I've said it before and I'll say it again...I love our site. It has a human factor that for me is irresistible and charming.
