Some friends of mine lived on a roomy lot with plenty of room for animals in the back. They had a goat, who thought he owned the place, a horse, a goose, and some beatiful African Ridgebacks. When I arried there to visit one time, they were still laughing. They had to replace their goose and their next door neighbor had one they would let them have. They were separated from their neighbors by a wire fence so their animals were all famailiar with the goose and they did not expect any problems introducing the new goose to their animals, but they stood guard just in case. They were completely taken by surprise that it was the horse that objected and chased the poor goose around the back yard. All the other animals were ok with the new goose.

They all eventually got along again. I loved visiting them because they treated all of their animals like members of their family who responded in kind.
