Well if it's red and green light, then maybe that does make yellow? I know how mixing colors work but not so sure how it works when it's light/reflected or whatever is going on there.

Here's how it happens in the eye... Color perception is strange. For example: red light looks red and green light looks green, but when red and green light come into your eye from the same source — well, then it looks like yellow light.

Red, blue and yellow are primary. Green (B/Y), orange (R/Y) and purple (B/R) are secondary. At least that's how it is with pigments. Light is different. Cute idea, but where you're going for yellow, I see Christmas.
