Puzzle Description:

Tourist help 1 kilometer away (yeah we do it in kilometers not in miles here in Canada)

I forget, which is longer a kilometer or a mile. I think it's a mile, but...

its the kilometer

ratio = 1km = 0.62 mile

so 120km/h = 74 mile/h approximately

A mile is longer than a kilometer: 1 Km = 0.62 mile thus 1 mile = 1.61 Km

no Martha its the other way around

60miles / hour = 100km per hour

a mile is longer than a kilometer

Sylvain, the identity you used ratifies that 1 mile is longer than 1 kilometer.

In these terms, 60 Km/h = 60000 m/h doesn't implies that 1 meter is longer than 1 kilometer, but on the contrary.

not I must have explain myself badly

in metric measure averything goes by a factor of 10 so 1 kilometer is 1000 meter

the actual convertion ration between miles and kilometer is

1 km = 0.6214 mile

so miles are indeed longer than kiloometer
