LOL Goats rule. They don't take no from anybody.

I don't think the lit menorah would have been a problem, Yonah. They ate the Christmas lights off of the fence one year.

How many goats do you have, Joanne? Do you milk them...make cheese? I always thought somewhere along the line we might own goats...but our lives didn't go in that direction.

We always aim to get wethers. (castrated male goats) The joke around the "farm" is, if you can get milk out of them, we'll give you $100. haha

We found that wethers are playful and gentle. They don't spray their territory or get too mean. The female goats always cost more because the sellers are assuming you are buying them to breed and milk. We just have them for pets and brush control. (and free entertainment :)

We usually have around 6. Currently we have 4. I'm not sure if we will add any more to the mix. They live around 15 years. We just bought 2 last year, so we are mentally adding that to our age and figuring out if we will want to take care of them when we are older. The bales of hay aren't getting any lighter.

This is so interesting...that's why I love our site...it's a community!
