In Kindergarten I was on one of these and slide outward (as one does) and my foot hit a girl that was standing too close. She went and told the teacher that I kicked her. I was sent to the principal's office where I was also not allowed to tell my side of the story. Got in LOTS of trouble. Even though she was always mean, it obviously wasn't intentional. She went on to win multiple individual NAIA National Championships and was a 7-time All-American in track and field...so it's not like I did much damage. If anything, me telling her she should have gotten out of the way faster may have been some life-changing, motivational words.
