Interesting solve! After all color and line logic, I concentrated on the second 5 C8.#2: Web Paint-By-Number Robot (webpbn) on Jun 1, 2022
Then it solved!

After line logic, the "3" in column 4 can't go down, because all the open squares in row 12 would be dots, which would force the "5" in column 8 to go up, and then there's nowhere for the first "3" in row 9 to go. Whew! So that means that row 12 column 4 is blank.
Next, placing the lower "5" in column 8 at the lowest spot blocks too many spots in column 7. So row 15 column 8 is blank.
Then line logic from there.
I liked the "Peter Max" look of this puzzle!#5: Gator (gator) on Jun 1, 2022 [HINT]
Here is my solve:#6: derby (Derby) on Jun 2, 2022
I have to finish the 4 clue in R7 at either R7C4 or R7C8. In either case, this will cause R8C4 to be a dot. LL.
If I place the 1 clue in R8 at R8C8 or R8C9, this causes R9C9 to be a dot in either case. LL to finish.
Nice puzzle.
Difficult at the end. Interesting solve.g
