Couldn't solve the eye C17-18

I got it Jota - First, you can fill in R10-C19 because R10-C19/C20 cannot both be blank.

Then you can dot (or blank) first R14-C17 and then R14-C18 because in both cases if they were filled, it would lead to contradictions in the right eye (our left).

I've thought we need 3 degrees of lookahead. Simple edge logic rates "moderate" lookahead, and this was certainly deeper than simple EL, but I was able (barely) to hold it in my head, so I don't view it as "deep" lookahead.

A very nice image in a small puzzle. Including the sheep in the background was a nice touch. Only 17 pixels each! I gave up on the eye and guessed...thanks for the hint, Bill.

Found to be solvable with moderate lookahead by valerie.
#7: Valerie Mates (valerie) on Dec 8, 2022 [HINT]
When I got stuck, I clicked on all of the clues that I had solved, to color them gray. Then, looking at where there were still unsolved blue squares I could use color logic to see that the blue 2 in row 13 could only go in columns 19-20. Then more line logic. When I got stuck again, I looked at the black 2 in row 13. It can't go in columns 17-18 because that would force a black 2 above it, and there is no black 2 in row 12. So the black 2 (in row 13) goes in columns 9-10 -- the only spaces that are still available for it at that point. So I flagged the puzzle as needing moderate lookahead.
