Well, I'm in the Pacific Northwest USA--historically a temperate, gentle climate. But last summer was breaking records hot, and this winter has had a few extra cold snaps. But climate change is BS, right? sheesh.#7: Kristen Vognild (kristen) on Jan 27, 2022
On that subject... I grew up in NE Ohio, which was a snowbelt when I was a kid. We rarely, sometimes never, saw the ground from Halloween through Easter. Halloween costumes had to accommodate snow clothes underneath. Every spring, my mother took me to get a new spring coat--which I could never wear to church on Easter Sunday because it was still winter. In summer, you mow the lawn every week; in winter, you shovel snow several times a week.
They don't get much snow at all anymore. And when they do, it doesn't stick more than a few days or a week or so.
And a refreshing take on an all-too-common PBN subject!#8: marjorie rex (Mamo) on Jan 27, 2022
