#1: Rea Aksglæde Karlsen (Rea) on Sep 14, 2008
Im guessing this is your first puzzle.#2: Sylvain "WCPman" (qwerty) on Sep 14, 2008 [SPOILER]
Thank you for the puzzle I liked it but puzzles with more white/blank in them are a little more interesting and you dont really need all the green
oh no math attacking me again..... lol#3: Georgia Wren (teachno11) on Sep 14, 2008
great idea ditto #1
not my first but first time I tried to do this venn thing and I just wanted to avoid more than one solution so I made it very easy.#4: Adam Nielson (monkeyboy) on Sep 14, 2008 [SPOILER]
If it is truly a Venn diagram, then the middle (overlapping) section should only be what both circles have in common, right? In this specific example, the only "letter" of "LET'S PLAY" that they both share in common is "L," so shouldn't the "L" be in the center?#5: Sylvain "WCPman" (qwerty) on Sep 14, 2008 [SPOILER]
In fact, the letters of each word should be in the same circle, shouldn't they? So in the black circle, for example, the letters "E," "T," and "S" should be there. The letters "P," "A," and "Y" should be in the red circle, shouldn't they? That is what I understood a Venn diagram to be.
Adam your right the letter in the puzzle are not place in the correct section#6: Adam Nielson (monkeyboy) on Sep 14, 2008
maybe Georgia fail math and didn't want to tell us...lol
LOL#7: Ed Donahue (edzoid) on Sep 14, 2008
Monkeyboy's right - I'm a math teacher#8: Georgia Wren (teachno11) on Sep 14, 2008
I, too, am a math teacher with a minor in English. The Venn diagram is OF the letters in Let's Play, but the diagram is of whether they are vowels or consonants and "Y" can be used as either. Not only did I pass math, but I have 2 degrees in math and have taught it for more years than I care to admit. But I see your point in how some of you interpreted it. Thanks for new insight.#9: Adam Nielson (monkeyboy) on Sep 14, 2008 [SPOILER]
Thank you for the excellent clarification. We are both right in how we saw the Venn. I never thought of it your way, but you are of course right since you did it by vowels/consonants, and not just letters overall.#10: Adam Nielson (monkeyboy) on Sep 14, 2008 [SPOILER] #11: m2 (mercymercy) on Sep 15, 2008
That is why I said something like "shouldn't it?" in my last comment and not "you are absolutely wrong and if you don't change it then you should be shot!" LOL :-) Nice work!
nice discussion.#12: Sylvain "WCPman" (qwerty) on Sep 15, 2008 [SPOILER]
oups look like a fail exam for ME lol#13: Jen (LightVader) on Oct 5, 2008 [SPOILER]
the Y probably fool me as how you split the letter
so that considerate great job :)
It took me a minute, but I picked up on the consonant / vowel seperation.#14: KathyJean Farnam (kjwriter) on May 9, 2014 [SPOILER]
This is a Venn diagram for "Plyts, aye?" Which is a very well known phrase uttered by old pirates with very few remaining teeth.
