Required either guessing, or lookahead beyond what I can do, but it was pretty easy to figure out from the nearly-done puzzle what to try first.#12: Koreen (mom24plus) on Apr 9, 2022
#4, yep! now it's an earworm I can't get out!#13: Gator (gator) on Apr 20, 2022 [HINT]
CL/LL will solve all of the green and red leaving us with 20 black cells to finish off.
I'm not sure how to logically tackle this one to finish it off. I can look at the picture overall and easily figure that out, but we know I cannot mark a puzzle as solvable with "picture logic".
Here is what I do know. Columns 7-10 need 9 black cells, columns 29-32 need 9 black cells, and columns 36 and 38 need 1 cell each.
But I cannot see where summing or smile (regular or alternating) logic will help. I cannot find a place where edge logic does either.
So I think I am left with finding a contradiction with moderate or deep lookahead.
If R9C9 is black, then with 3 move lookahead this would force R9C29 and R9C31 to be black which makes R9 invalid. So R9C9 is a dot. LL. The same logic can be used on R9C30 to make it a dot. LL.
There is another contraction if R16C9 is filled in, but it takes 5-6 moves ahead to see it and put that in the guessing category.
I think I am stuck here. Can anyone show a way forward?
