In UK tabloid-speak, 'love rat' has a very specific meaning!

I thought Matt would be a love Bat, too, but rats are awesome as well!

I thought I was going to be the only one who thought of "bat" as well, but apparently not. I was not the only one deceived at first. LOL BTW, nice image!

I guessed what it would be, but it took a while before I could see how the image was going to come together.

Pog, dare we ask what a tabloid "love rat" is? Or should we just use our imaginations?

We too use the term love rat in Australia, it is used to describe a man who cheats on his partner, or flirts terribly with other women. I did this puzzle in honour of my last boyfriend, Matt, he didn't actually cheat, but he made out he wanted to, so it was goodbye to him :)

Bats seem to be a common expectation - that is what I thought at first too. Our love rat is cute - in American slang a "rat" is not always an honorable character. However, white rats serve a very useful purpose. Since this one is black ... I'm not sure abouther character.
